The Rideau Ski Club started over 50 years ago on a little hill beside Otter Lake.
A tractor ran the rope tow. Volunteers warmed hot dogs and drinks on a wood stove in a small shed. As the sport evolved, the club began organizing school bus trips to local hills, formed a snow school and soon became the organisation that introduced more people to the sport than any other in Perth, Smiths Falls and the surrounding areas. Today, even though we’ve added pick ups in Carleton Place and Ottawa (Pinecrest Mall), upgraded to coach transportation and travel to world class resorts, we still remember why the Club started: to build long lasting relationships and provide affordable leisure to families.
Our team of volunteers is committed to delivering the best ski and snowboard experience in Eastern Ontario. We work hard to get our members exclusive perks, organize affordable trips and share our passion for skiing and snowboarding with new riders.
